On October 5, 2019, the 550th anniversary of the birth of Gurunanak, founder of Sikhism (Sikkyo) was held in Makido, Kenya in conjunction with Markido Sikh. The event was hosted by Governor Makueeni and was attended by hundreds of participants from all walks of life.
