Nov 19, Peace Road 2016 in Ireland

On the 19th?of November 2016, 15 participants gathered together at the memorial site of the Battle of the Boyne.

We gathered in the morning, and first we walked through the visitor center and watched history unfold through a digital explanation of the Battle of the Boyne. In one room there was a large picture of a peace agreement being signed between the Irish Prime Minister and the leader of the Norther Irish First Minister at the site in 2007. We took a picture of a Catholic Irish member shaking hands with an English Protestant member in front of the picture, representing the unity of these two different religious and political groups.

After the visitor center, we walked the fields to the place where we could overlook the battlefield.
